Join our waitlist if you are interested in applying to serve as a corps member during the 2022 - 2023 school year.

We are partnering with up to 35 PSUs (public school units) across North Carolina for the coming year to recruit, train, and support high-impact K-3 literacy tutors.

Register now to receive updates on positions near you for 2022 - 2023, and we will contact you when applications open in spring-summer 2022.

Available Positions (Spring 2022)

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis for recommendation to the local PSU. We will be in touch with you if you advance to the next round in our application process.

This application does not allow you to save your answers and come back. Please be prepared to complete the application in full.

Be aware that as you are recommended by NCEC to your local PSU, you will also complete their specific application to enter the hiring process.

Cumberland County Schools

Weekly Commitment: 15-20 hours
School Hours: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
Minimum Education: High school diploma with some college (at least one completed course) required. Bachelors’ Degree with an NC Teaching License Experience will receive certified pay. Approved background check is required.
Rate of Pay: $14 (uncertified) - $25 (certified)
