We’re thrilled to hear you want to get involved with NC Education Corps – so what’s the best way to engage? We’re glad you asked! Let’s make it simple for you – here is a quick list of 4 ways to elevate our impact (most of them you don’t even require you to leave your chair!)
- Support the work by subscribing to our newsletter!
We LOVE sharing our stories of impact with you and letting you meet our corps members. Subscribing to our newsletter means that you’ll receive updates every month on the corps, new opportunities to support students, and be the first to see new stories of impact. Pro-tip: be sure to add NC Education Corps as an email contact in order to receive updates in your primary inbox!
- Follow us on social media.
Another easy way to show support and elevate the work of NC Ed Corps is to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn! Our social followers learn about new opportunities to join the corps first and get a behind the scenes look at our fun, dynamic team in action!
- Spread the word (and tag your friends).
We’re a little mix of old school and super tech savvy. That means we need your help spreading the word about NC Education Corps, but don’t mind if you use social media to let them know! If you know someone who would be a great fit for the corps let them know (and let us know!) We love it when you tag friends and colleagues who would make an excellent corps member, ambassador, or team member. We’re grateful for every recommendation our community makes – we couldn’t do this work without your support.
- Apply to join the corps or become a summer ambassador!
Applications to serve as an ambassador are open through 5/26! These summer ambassadors will help us recruit 250 qualified corps members through online engagement and outreach efforts. This position is 6 weeks from 6/3 – 7/15 remotely and offers a $1200 stipend. If you’re a social media guru or revel in connecting with passionate people excited to support NC students and schools, this is the role for you!
You can apply here now.
Corps member applications open on 6/15 for the 2021-2022 school year, but information sessions are happening now! This year corps members will serve as high-impact literacy tutors for K-3 students across North Carolina. After you apply, we’ll update you on the status of your application and if you advance, you’ll be matched with a school partner and proceed to their hiring process. If selected as a corps member you’ll commit to 9 months of service that begins in September 2021.
