NC Launches Education Corps to Bring Extra Support to K-12 Schools During COVID-19

In 2021-22, North Carolina Education Corps members are working as high-impact early grades literacy tutors hired by 24 local districts and schools across North Carolina.

The Governor’s Office announces the launch of North Carolina Education Corps and 200 members to serve in public schools across the state. The article describes a partnership between the North Carolina State Board of Education, the Office of the Governor, local school systems and the N.C. Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service with the aim of providing emergency relief to public schools and support for K-12 students across NC.
